Hi, I'm Selene!

I believe that our are bodies are born knowing how to eat. As we grow up, our eating becomes influenced by the culture and people around us.

Sometimes we start to worry about how we look and what we eat. We override our internal cues of hunger and fullness to adapt to the food rules around us (like: don’t eat carbs, stop eating at night). 

However, when we follow these outside rules and ignore our bodies, we start to disconnect from our physical needs. 

Sometimes we might have difficult past experiences with diets and changing bodies. We get stuck in a cycle of anxiety, worry, and frustration around food.

Does this sound familiar? You are not alone! It is possible to reconnect back to your body’s inner wisdom and build confidence with eating.

My Approach

I offer a mind-body approach to nutrition that is weight-inclusive and trauma-informed. I believe that bodies of all sizes deserve adequate nourishment and care.

 

Working with me includes building practical skills to honour gentle nutrition, unlearn diet mentality, and reconnect with your body.

Learn your body's unique cues for hunger & fullness.

Find ways to soothe a dysregulated nervous system & build capacity for eating.

Build body neutrality

Move away from "I hate my body" thoughts towards a kinder relationship with yourself.

Who I Work With

I work with anyone who desires a more peaceful relationship with food & body. This involves people who struggle with eating disorders and disordered eating, or people who simply want to strengthen their mind-body connection to support lifelong eating habits. 

Eating Disorders

I work with the full spectrum of eating disorders including anorexia, bulima, binge eating disorder, and ARFID.

Chronic Dieting

I work with disordered eating concerns including chronic dieting & weight cycling, anxiety with eating, binge eating, and confusion with nutrition information.

Intuitive Eating & Embodiment

I work with those wanting to eat more intuitively, build body wisdom & live more fully in their bodies.
