$25 / session
*Please note this group is only open to residents of Alberta, BC, Yukon and Northwest Territories.
What if you actually took a break for lunch?
Lunch can disappear pretty quickly.
You sit down at your computer, answer a few emails, think about what you need to do next… and suddenly your lunch is gone.
Mindful Eating Lunches is an invitation to do something different.
Once a week, we’ll take an hour to step away, settle into the present moment, and explore what it’s like to actually be with our food while we eat.
This is a casual, online drop-in group. Come once, come every week, or join whenever it fits your life.
What is Mindful Eating?
Mindful eating is a practice of eating without distraction, using your 5 senses.
This practice helps slow down the process of eating, so that you can stay connected with your body’s cues of hunger, fullness, and emotional satisfaction.
Mindful eating practices can help you better understand your body’s needs and move towards a more neutral, non-judgemental relationship with food.
What happens during a mindful eating lunch?
You can think of Mindful Eating Lunches like going to a yoga class for eating.
Instead of a yoga mat, you’ll bring food!
Each week we start off with a short grounding activity so that you can feel more connected and present in your body.
Then I’ll guide you into a mindful eating activity.
Cameras are optional and you’re asked to turn your camera off during the eating portion of the group
This group is for you if you...
- Often find yourself eating on autopilot
- Find overwhelming feelings like stress affect your eating
- Get caught in a cycle of guilt when eating certain foods
- Want to explore mindful eating in a supportive, low-pressure setting
- Want to feel more connected with your body
- Simply want to take a real lunch break and enjoy your food
You don’t need to have a particular concern with food to participate.
You also don’t need any previous experience with mindful eating. I’ll guide you through everything.
This isn’t about trying to control your eating. It’s a practice. Think of it like yoga or meditation: you show up, notice what’s happening, and see what you discover.
